Monstre is the highest wooden roller coaster in the world towering at about 40 metres/130 feet high. Its the fastest roller coaster at La Ronde. It's first and second drops are exciting and the speed combined with the fascinating turns that make you litterally jump off your seat at least three times make monstre it a must ride for everyone. The lineup is usually packed but it goes fast as it has 4 trains of 28 people. Only thing bad about it is the fact that you're unconfortable in the ride hitting your legs all over the place. Also the fact that it gets stuck a lot. All in all a great fun roller coaster and in my opinion the second funnest in all of La Ronde.

The left side of the ride was closed on my visit.

Not as good as it looks. Air is ok, but the ride is rough enough to throw you around the train. I still like it due to it's headchoppers and out-of-control-rickety-unsecure-wooden-coaster feeling.

Not so much air, but there is still some good turns and it defintely throws you around.

Pretty rough and boring. My worst wooden coaster to date.

Finally got on on the other side of Monstre a year later.. Liked it. My non-coaster friend rode it with me and loved it.. Said it was his favorite ride yet (of about 30)
