More About This Ride
Ride Restrictions:
Minimum height restriction:   48 in.

Structure:
310' tall first hill sloped at 45-degrees on the ascent and 80-degrees on the descent.

Three over-banked curving-hills, the tallest at a height of 169'.

Third hill is 182' high.

Features:
Two tunnels.

Elevator cable-lift system originally utilizing an 800-horsepower DC electric motor with speeds of up to 13 mph. After blowing out the original motor, a larger motor is now used. Data is not available for this motor.

History:
Tagline: "The Future is Riding On It."

During 2006, Millennium Force had significant downtime due to electrical issues. The problems started when the original motor blew out. The same motor was not available so a larger motor was put in place. This caused many errors including an encoder discrepancy error that resulted in significant downtime. Other problems developed including lack of weather protection for the new motor. The new motor blew out after a short service time. The problems that caused this were eventually fixed and a new, larger, more protective housing was used, as well as other changes that improve reliability.

Yay! Good times abound on MF. While lacking good air on any part but the first drop, the first ground hugging turn taken at top speed gets top honor for intensity.

Sweet ride. I love how it lifts you up so fast with that elevator cable rather than the traditional chain lift.

This is definately one of the best coasters out there. Period. the ride experience is unbeatable, and the speed just won't seem to end. You seem to go through the elements so fast, yet the ride feels like it takes so much longer. There are no words for what I would call the ride experience of Millennium Force, so I guess I will call it a "spiritual" kind of experience. I get off everytime saying wow over and over again, and I can't think of anything else the rest of the day. Yes this ride is that amazing and well worth the 1 1/2 to 2 hour wait it usually has nowadays.

The amazing speed and height along with that never-let-up attitude makes up for the lack of airtime, and though barely, it gets a 5.

MF is very good! Great layout, great G's, great speed, steepness, and great everything else! The only coment i would say is that the overbanked turns need to be more overbanked, like 130 to 150 degrees.

MF front seat ishands down the best ride I've ever been on, and I've ridden all the big rides ar CP, SFMM and PKI. MF is an absolute masterpeice of engineering and design. If you havn't ridden MF, you have missed alot.

5 years since it opened and it's still my favorite coaster. I love everything about this ride. The first drop is still my favorite, even over Top Thrill Dragster which is 100 feet longer. The overbanks are fun, the hills have great floater airtime and the tunnels are great with the tremendous speed throughout. While coasters that travel at 60 and 70mph+ are fun, it's when you start getting close to 100mph when things just start to blur on you and I love it. I can't say enough about this ride.

Truly amazing. Only one coaster tops MF IMO: Storm Runner.

Millennium Force simply blew me away the first time I rode it. The first drop is amazing the the speed is unrelenting. It is at or near the very top of my list.

This ride is almost perfect! My only complaint.....not enough airtime. There is some but just not an insane amount. Definitely the #1 Coaster on the Planet!

For anyone that says that the drop is the best part and the rest of the ride is crap...you're totally wrong. The sheer speed of this monster is what makes this great. This layout is supposed to handle those kinds of speeds. That's all its built for, SPEED!

EASILY one of my favorite steel coasters out there. It isnt my all time favorite but it is definitely top 2 worthy. That first drop is amazing and the speed...... Oh My the speeeeeeed. it just does not let up at all. I havent a single complaint about this ride. it runs like glass and the hourly capacity has been quick everytime Ive been there. This is a must ride whenever you're at CP. This ride is not for the faint at heart though. You're talking about nearly 100 MPH. Some people dont even drive that fast.lol

The first drop...AMAZING!! Great height, great air, and that was only in second row! However, the rest of the ride was not all that great. The turns were kind of boring, the two other hills had no airtime whatsoever, and quite frankly, the ride's only claim to fame after the drop is the speed. Therefore, Millennium Force will never be the best, just merely an average coaster, despite having one of the best first drops ever.

This was truely one of the best rides ever. i'm sick of people hating on it just because it's not perfect...PEOPLE!!!! THERE WILL NEVER BE A PERFECT COASTER! I give it a nice 9.2 in my book. hopefully, maverick will blow me away. i have high hopes for that ride.
