ride spun and tilted in various directions.

Surfer was one of the original rides built at Carowinds, located in the Pirate Island section.

Surfer closed at the end of the 1976 season and was removed the following year.

The Witchdoctor was repainted, renamed Black Widow, and moved to the old Surfer location.
