Griffon is a great dive-machine, it blows SheiKra away. The drop under the bridge really adds to the ride, as well as the second immelmann. It gets great airtime in the back seat, and is probably the second smoothest, if not the smoothest, coaster I've ridden. IMO, Apollo's Chariot is still the overall best at BGE. Griffon is my 11th favorite coaster.

Griffon is a really cool ride... If you ride in the front row. I found it just to be OK in the middle.. But in the front to be great.

Griffon was my first ever dive machine and I must say that I did enjoy it a lot. Apollo's Chariot is still my favorite coaster at BGE, but Griffon is now my second favorite. That makes Alpengeist a VERY distant third place for me. I'm sorry, but I'm just sick and tired of the slow dispatch time for Alpie. It is just ridiculous the world's tallest inverter has the world's slowest dispatch time. Maybe I go there the wrong day or something, but I have never gotten on that coaster quickly and been out of the station in record time. But anyways, back to Griffon..... awesome coaster. Front row is by far the best row to sit in because you are held at the top of that lift hill for like 5 seconds looking straight down before the chain releases you. If that doesn't scare the crap out of you, nothing will. Second row is the worst row to sit in, you get absolutely nothing out of it and only thing good about the third row is that you are pulled through the elements which makes it pretty exciting. You can't view anything and that hold at the top of the lift hill, you are sitting straight forward. You don't get the effect of hanging over the track looking straight down. IMO, if you don't ride Griffon in the front row at least once, you pretty much wasted your trip to BGE and having to wait in a long line. Waiting for the 1st row is worth it. Antoher thing I really liked about this ride was the landscaping. Yes Griffon is a brand new ride, but looking at the plot of land it is on, it looks like it has been there for a while. And I don't mean that in a bad way either. You don't see any fresh dirt, construction equipment, etc, like you would see at other parks with a brand new ride. I mean it is just magnificent if you ask me. There is a reason why Busch Gardens has been voted the most beautiful park in the country for 17 years straight and looking at the plot of land that Griffon is on explains it all. I give it a 10 out of 10 for landscaping. There is only one thing I didn't like about Griffon.... although it is over 3,000 feet long, it did not seem like it at all. Seemed a bit on the short side. I still enjoyed it, but I just wish it was a little bit longer with more elements. Not in my top 20 of coasters, but it is well worth a ride on. I recommend it for everyone.

This is sure one hell of a dive machine. Thanks to the floorless trains, the front row outer seats enhance the experience by not having anything below or above you. The best dive coaster EVER created!

Excellent. The airtime, the hang-time on the first drop, the second "vertical" drop, it's all excellent! Griffon is my favorite coaster. 10/10!

Greatest ride ever. Simply gorgeous amount of airtime on the first drop, and plenty of airtime on the 2nd drop, and bunny hill before the splashdown. #1 ride for me.
