The ride was rough in spots but NOT as rough as some have said and worned me about. It is not a bad coaster but not in the top 20 by any means. The ride is fast but no real surpirising elements just a bunch of bunny hills and big turns.

No matter what you othrs may think, I like this ride alot. It is one of my favorite at the park. The seatbelt are a bit tight, along with the lapbars, but that doesn't keep me from enjoying the ride. The back is VERY intense and fun to ride in, and the first drop is very thrilling. One bump you take will hurt your @$$ if you ride too much but other than that, this ride is cool. I don't understand why these other people don't like it.

The airtime on Hurler in the front car at night, after a long, hot summer day is just amazing. Under those conditions, Hurler delevers one of the best woodie ride experiences out there.

This ride, unlike what others think is AWESOME
as long as you ride in the front two cars. Otherwise, it is a living hell.
The airtime in the front is amazing, and with the recent retracking the banked turns hurt much less... the best part - there's never anyone in the station - even for the front!

Blacked out on the Helix for a couple seconds. my friend screamed her head off and was pushing me back and forth. it was funny. anyway I LOVED this ride. But try to ride with someone else, somehow its rougher when you go by yourself.

I hated Hurler for several years, and hadn't ridden it in two years until March 31, 2007. I noticed there had been some retracking work done at the bottom of the drop and in the large subsequent turn while I was in line. Thankfully, this small bit of retracking did an amazing job at eliminating a lot of the coaster's rough spots. Given, it's a wooden and still is rough, it's nothing like it used to be and is amazingly better than it has been in years past. It's got some great airtime and the only bad part about the ride, now, is the turn under the lift, which has some bad lateral Gs. Otherwise, pretty nice wooden coaster.

I like to refer to this coaster as the Right-Turn Spectacular. I've never seen a coaster with such an aversion for left turns. Besides that, the coaster is certainly a rough-and-tumble sort of experience. The only saving grace is the decent first drop and memorable (and highly overpriced) ride photos. A mediocre woodie if there ever was one.
