The cars were stored in the park's boathouse during the winter of 1989-90 before they were moved to Kentucky Kingdom. At one point that winter the boathouse caught fire, and the cars were hurriedly moved out of the boathouse before they became a loss. They were successful and the ride continues to operate today in it's new location.
