They should not have torn down this ride, it was a classic and it was a very good ride. I liked the roughness.

The roughness was a great factor of the ride. Steel coasters are way to smoth but, not classic wooden coasters. They make you hold on and really give you a great ride. I agree with Greg on this one.

Good riddance to this ride. I could see how this ride could've been a very fun ride, but Cedar Fair murdered it by adding the trim, slowing down the speed and making the train c-r-a-w-l over some of the hills.
Cedar Fair said they tore it down because of low ridership, but Cedar Fair stole the soul from this ride, just like Thunderhawk.

Cedar Fair destroyed this ride. There were no less than 6 trim brakes before the station brakes. There was even a trim before the main drop. When it first opened in 1989 it must have been amazing.
It still gave a good ride in July 2003. It wasn't that rough. People just always find something to complain about.

I wasn't around to see it pre cedar fair, and i still thought it was awesome. It was an awesome ride, and I miss riding it so much.

This woodie was another Summers/Dinn classic waiting to slide into roughness. I have no idea why all of their coasters, good designs initially, only hold up for a few short years. Hercules was great the first summer, and progressively rougher yet less fun and less rideable each successive year. Cedar Fair added the trims in an attempt to appease thousands of patrons complaining about the pain. "Hurt-Your-Knees" (even Dorney ride-ops called it that) was just another Summers & Dinn disaster doomed from it's very beginning.
I wish someone would find a way to save these design classic but aging unfriendly monsters. (Hello! CCI or GCI, are you listening?)

This is the worst wooden coaster I have even been on (this coming from somebody who has been on more than ten wood coasters.) I never found it painful, just dumb.

This was a pitiful example of a wooden coaster. Thank God for Hydra

The roughness was the best part about this coaster, especially the sensation of jumping off the track during the turn, I was sad to see it go.
