Great Bear has an interesting layout, and I love the helix before the first drop. The one thing that kills this ride for me is it's ending. The inversions pack a punch, but the ride meanders slowly at the end. It's a real buzzkill for an otherwise great ride.

#3 invert in the world. The placement is great, right in the valley, over the water. I like it alot.

One of my favorite inverted coasters. I think the first drop is one of the best on any invert. This is my second favorite ride in the park (counting lightning racer as one, and since I haven't yet riden Storm Runner)...A great ride.

I liked the ride but not its end... Why the hell do they KEEP the flood lights on where the on ride photo is... It hurt so much to ride at night because of them....

Yeah, the ending was kind of boring, but the rest was good! Besides, looking at the terrain and such, not much else could have been done there. Anyways, i don't know why people keep saying this ride stinks! The first drop's helix is VERY forceful, despite being taken at relatively slow speeds, the inversions are really awesome. It is short, but very fun.

Looked like a good ride but I just got on the ride and they said it looked like it was going to thunderstorm. It did thunderstorm 30 minutes after that and I waited in line for an hour until they said it wouldn't open.

I always thought that the helix before the drop looked weird and akward, but it is very forceful and a great opening meneuver for teh ride. THis may be my favorite invert. I was very impressed with it, but the ending is quite lame. They could have made some dips in the end or somthing similair to Talon's ending. Instead it is just a wondering flat stretch of track with only the purpose of getting you back to the beginning again. The only flaw in an otherwise perfect coaster.

Looking at this ride, I thought the helix before the first drop was kind of boring. But when I actually got on the ride, I was VERY surprised by it and the speed. It was a really cool part to the ride which made it unique. I liked it. Great Bear is a good inverter, nice add to Hershey Park. While it is not the best inverter out there, it is a very respectable one. The ending part is pretty boring and more should of been done with it to make that part better. But regardless, I still recommend this ride for everyone when you are there.

It's probably the most unique B&M layout out there given the helix right off the lift hill, a drop that's 34 feet more than the lift hill 90 foot height and the weirdest supports you've ever seen since they can't be placed in the creek below the ride. This ride is quite respectable, and still packs intensity in the Immelmann and loop. The G-roll turns to the left. After the corkscrew the ride just dances slowly back to the final brakes. You wish it did something other than a S-turn back after the corkscrew. Very unique ride, not mediocre, just not a number one, but a very good 2 or 3.

One of the best coasters i've been on. Really cool layout, looks like your about to hit into fifty different things while riding.
