Goliath is the best ride at SFMM and you have to ride it if you go to SFMM.

I didn't get to ride it. I rode Titan at SFoT, I want to see what the difference everyone is talking about.

^ Difference?

What does Goliath have that Titan doesn't? Titan's the one with the extra helix, which I hear is completely forceless.

Kyle04 I'm curious to know HOW you can say this ride sucks if according to your ride count you havent even been to Magic Mountain let alone on Goliath itself. I always find it funny how people open their mouth with an opinion about something yet havent even experienced it. Just keep your trap shut until you can form an opinion. Goliath is by far the best ride at Magic Mountain, not X. It runs like glass and that first drop is breath taking. It is by far in my top 10 of best steel coasters.

This was a fantastic ride with great G-forces. I still prefer Apollo's Chariot, but it's hard to compare Goliath to most hyper coasters.

Lol. Kyle04 removed his comments about this coaster from the page. Guess what I said got to him. I just really hate to see someone comment about something when they haven't experienced it yet.

This coaster was my favorite at SFMM (my home park) before X. It is still near the top. I love everything about this beast from the first drop to the last blackout-inducing helix. It's really a fun ride.

No, this is not better than X. X is in a league by itself. HOWEVER, Goliath is a close second.

Goliath is just "okay." I remember riding it for the first time and it was extremely intense and the first drop was very long and sent my gut to my throat -- but now, I don't find myself running to it because the ride's dynamics are very unbalanced in forces, which makes the reridability factor very low. It's a good ride, but it's not a "WOW" ride. For personal comparisons sake, I was blown away by Magnum XL-200, if forced to choose betwen that and Goliath, I'd go with Magnum in a heartbeat.

This coaster is the second best non-looping coaster they have at this park. I rode in the front row and the airtime on it is amazing! Next time I'm in California I'm going back to this park.

Hah. what a great coaster. the g-forces are quite something when the block breaks don't slow it down. haha talk about BLACK OUT.

I loved this coaster when I rode it in early 2001. They werent' trimming it on the midcourse yet, and you just shot right through. The drop is terrific, and the airhill is beautiful. I remember I was one of very few people who were abel to keep their hands up during the helix because of all the Gs. Good ride. Not on my top ten at all, but definitly a perfect fit at SFMM.

^ In response to your review, you still do go past the break run, only when its operating on one train tho. Thats the whole reason for "block" brakes.

This ride is one of the more devious rides. It takes you to the top and lets you just coast over the top. It's such a slow process and then all of a sudden you're rocketing forward and you realize that tiny black hole in the ground is where you're headed. A fantastic hypercoaster and a must-ride.
