This carousel is an all wood composition park model with 4 rows. There are 50 jumping horses, 16 standing horses, and 2 chariots.
History:
The carousel was built in 1917 by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company and is designated as PTC #44. From 1917 to 1938 the carousel operated at Riverside Park in Springfield, MA. It was relocated to the Roger Williams Park in Providence, RI and operated there from 1938 to 1973. Kings Dominion acquired the ride in 1973.
