Rocket Rods was a fast people-mover type attraction for Tomorrowland.
History:
Rocket Rods was closed because the repeated speeding and slowing down of the ride hurt the structure. Disneyland did not want to/did not have money to change the flat-banking of the curves, so the cars slowed down before the curves, stressing the track of the old people-mover system.

What a waste of space.
This ride wasn't fun, it slowed down on every turn, it never went too fast and it was just all-around boring. It was a really long, slow, boring ride. It was noisy too. Every time the ride accelerated, it let out a loud screech.
I'm only glad I've ridden it because it doesn't stand anymore.

Damn, I was close to riding this. The first time i ever went to disneyland [summer 1999] we were already on the stairs just maybe 20 to 30 feet away from the platform. but then the thing that rocket rods was known for, happened. IT BROKE DOWN. they gave us a slip to cut the front of a line. so we did. we went on the materhorn. the next time we came here [ july 2001 ] we visited disney's new park, but also its old one. when i asked my dad if we could try to find that "fast car ride" [ i didn't know it's name then ] we just decided to walk around and spot it eventually. i was disapponted to find that it didn't exist anymore. i was even more disaapointed when i found out the ride closed three months earlier. oh well.

From what I can remember. I loved the ride.. I only got to ride it once though.
