History:
Also known as the "Parachute Sky Jump."
First modern parachute-drop tower ride.
Attraction was removed from the tower structure in 1999 due to lack of patronage and high upkeep costs. The Sky Cabin remains operational.

Another midway type ride. (parts of Knott's seems to be like a permanent traveling carnival). They took it out probably for saftey reasons.
Ah, the good old days when rides were dangerous and less people were hurt because they were smarter back then and didn't act like idiots.

Actually, Tianjin, the Sky Jump was removed because maintaining the attraction on a regular basis was too costly for the park. Another reason for its removal was because it had low ridership, and with the introduction of Supreme Scream in '98, ridership count decreased even further. Its removal had nothing to do with safety. The Sky Jump took millions of riders safely during its lifespan between 1976-1999. Similar rides at Six Flags Over Texas and Six Flags Over Georgia are still operating.
