Before Splash Mountain (haven't been on it but have downloaded videos of the ride) this was the best log ride.
Pirates is a dark ride with boats as transport. (would you call Its a small world a log flume?
Anyway the log ride is the best of the older class of this genre. Most are not enclosed in a fake mountain like this ride, that puts it in a class by itself.

I've only ridden this with the Christmas theming, but it's easily one of the best log flumes I've ever been on. It's really long and winds through lots of caves and mountains. It's a blast. There are surprises everywhere, and the last drop is nice and steep.
