More About This Ride
Features:
Based on the hit film, Twister...Ride it Out places guests a mere 20 feet away from the awesome live spectacle of a five-story tornado. Discovering just how treacherous a twister can be, 2,400 guests per hour encounter intesifying winds and pounding rain as they brave Mother Nature's fury in this state-of-the-art attraction. The ominous funnel, the largest indoor tornado ever created, circulated enough air to fill four blimps in one minute, resulting in the deafening "freight train" sound often associated with actual tornadoes.

History:
Twister uses dozens of powerful, specially-designed fans to create its unique vortex, or funnel. Among them are 18 fans with seven-foot-long blades positioned on ground level, mid-level and high-level through the attraction. Guests experience a twister more than five-stories tall and 12-feet wide that "dances" as much as 30-feet in any direction from its origin point.
150,000 gallons of recycled water are utilized daily at the Twister attraction. Twister uses hundreds of piercing zenon strobe lights that flash as brightly as "real" lightening to help create its storm effects.
A computerized weather tracking system monitors outside wind velocity, humidity and barometric pressure so that the size and shape of the twister can automatically be adjusted to be realistic and consistent.

I found this attraction to be quite boring, definitely not worth the wait it usually has.

This show was enjoyable, but if the line ever gets above 15 minutes, I would search for other forms of entertainment. The best time to see this show would be during the Ghostbuster's street show or anytime the Mummy is operational. When the Mummy has technical difficulties, it shows in the additional wait times of the neighboring attractions.

This is more of a show then a ride. but if you stand in the front row for the last part its fun... and you get wet.

It has some awesome effects, but in the long run it's not the best. The line never gets above 20 minutes, so I recommend riding this if you havn't before. Otherwise, go to MIB or Mummy.

I hated this. I think it is a waste of time and space and money. There is no excitment in this and the flying cows are probably one of the cheesiest things I have ever seen. Thank God I didnt have to wait for it.

I think it was kind of a poor excuse for an attraction. You just stand behind a railing and watch a recreation of a twister with pretty bad effects. I definitely wouldn't waste your day waiting for this one.

Ok, well I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that I actually liked this. I thought it was fun, and I would definitly do it again, even with a wait. I had no idea they really created a tornado inside there. I thought it was a projection, but my memory of the actual twister is kind of vague. What could make this better is if they expanded the show area so that you are rushed into a hangar and all the debris comes busting through the walls like in the movie. That would be a great finale.
P.S. I'm pretty sure the cow is supposed to be funny, and it is.
