I was pleasantly surprised by this ride. Before I rode Carolina Cyclone I thought it would be another one of those old rough loopers, but I was wrong. This ride was very smooth and turned out to be a very pleasant ride.

The back is a fun little ride but in the front you can really feel the g's. This is one of the best old loopers out there.

This ride wasn't too bad, especially for the height and speed of it. I recommend riding the back over front (as I do for everyride) because it's much more thrilling. In the back, you feel every thrill this ride has, even the dip after the chainlift is fun. I for one, never have problems with head restriants as other people I know do so I wouldn't know wat to tell you about that but I'm 6'0" and since the first time I rode this 2 years ago to now, the restraints never hurt so i dunno. But I recommend this ride about 3 times at the most. Don't spend all day here, much more fun to be had.

I don't know why people don't like the Arrow Looping Coasters like the Carolina Cyclone. These coasters are very smooth, not rough. Carolina Cyclone is much more comfortable than any wooden coasters in the park. The wooden coasters are the ones that are rough. The Mighty Canadian Minebuster is the most violent and roughest coaster that I ever been on. It's located at Canada's Wonderland. All Arrow Loopers are smooth. The Vecoma Boomerangs are the ones that you should be complaining about. When I rode The Bat at Canada's Wonderland, the backward trip was the roughest ever. Vecoma should think about the roughness on the backward trip.

Recently, park maintainence has gotten this coaster as smooth as a B&M, all who thought it was rough should re-ride.

I have been surprised at how smooth this ride has become, the back is simply the BEST! The front is more rough then the back, and you don't get that awesome airtime off the first drop!!! Its fun to do the corkscrews over the midway, and its classic Arrow! First coaster to have four inversions!

The back has some really nice ejector air on the first drop.

They have this coaster a lot smoother these days as well.

This was my first up-side-down coaster. I rode up front the first time and it was so much fun. I rode it 4x that day but haven't rode it since...oh well.

Carolina Cyclone is a surprisingly enjoyable coaster. For as short as it is, it's a very nice coaster. Despite some of the head-bangers in the corkscrews, that can be avoided by putting your head to the side of the restraint, it's a great beginner inverting coaster (which it was one of my first). It's not a thrill rider's dream, but it's still worth one ride.

The Carolina Cyclone is a staple of the Carowinds landscape. It has aged well, but it's still not very exciting. However, for what it is - a simple Arrow quad-inversion coaster - it's great. As a side note, the ride efficiency is great. They just pump riders through on this ride.
