More About This Ride
Ride Restrictions:
Minimum height restriction:   48 in.

Features:
Described by Nick Laskaris, Big Chief's owner, as "huge than compared to anything else in the region", which indicates that it will be even bigger compared to its other three wooden coasters (Zeus, Cyclops, and Pegasus, all CCI Coasters).

This coaster features two underground tunnels. One tunnel is the longest roller coaster tunnel in the world. Another first for a wooden coaster is an extreme 90-degree banked turn underground in complete darkness.

Trains manufactured by Philadelphia Toboggan Co.

Wow.... Best pre-lift ride ever! the first drop is great... The tunnel... Amazing!... The ride is just so good... But I think if they added red lights and mist in the tunnel it could be better then it is now.

I just rode this yesterday....three times. That should tell you how great I think it is. I loved just about everything about it. The height is awesome giving a great view of the Dells area. The drop gives some incredible airtime and I loved the underground tunnels on it. It was everything I thought it would be.

This ride is just outstanding in every way. The pre-lift run was fabulous and really surprised me. It was just an added bonus to an all-around excellent wooden roller coaster. This ride makes me excited to ride Holiday World's new Gravity Group woodie next year!

Hades just cannot be put into words. It is a breathtaking (literally) experience to be thrown around in a cold, pitch black tunnel at such high speeds. Probably a better ride than Avalanche, but not quite as much fun.

Hades defiantly has the best pre lift on any coaster. The tunnels under the parking lot was amazing, I’ve never been on anything like it. This is defiantly one of my favorite wood coasters.

Hades was very good, the tunnel and pre-lift were amazing. also the headchoppers after you go through the tunnel the second time.

The pre-lift was awsome! The tunnels were great, and the whole ride is so fast and it stays close to the ground, which keeps its speed. A Fantastic Ride!

Hades is kinda overrated. It's a fun ride and everything... it had air, lats, good pacing, etc... but it just didn't do it for me. I only got to ride it twice because of long lines though, maybe thats why i disliked it.

O.K. ride. Tunnel was decent. Just not enough for me. Drop, tunnel, turn around, tunnel, then a SMALL twister portion. The action out of the station isn't that great. STOP HYPING COASTERS! This ride was only lame cause all you people said how AWESOME! it would be. HYPE!

Best wooden coaster ever but they really need to get a second train on it. The line takes forever to go through because they only have 1 train.
