I've only been on S:UF at SFOG. I've heard that S:UF is alot better than Air, and I don't really like S:UF. So I doubt I'd like Air very much. It probably would not be intense enough for me.

Although I didn't hate it, I was expecting more from Superman Ultimate Flight, I just thought it would be more intense. So if Air is less intense than Superman, I don't think I would travel all the way to Alton Towers to ride it.

As the only person here, obviously, who has actually RIDDEN air, then let me start by saying: Prepare to have your f*cking mind blown out.
Apologies for the language (which, I guess, were implied) but I was really not expecting that. It's actually been over a year since I rode air, but the memory is still vivid. My most vivd momeroy is thinking "That was worth every second of the eighty minutes I waited for it." Yes, unfortunately air is prone to severely long queues, up to two and a half hours for a two and a half minute ride.
I must admit I went to Alton to ride Oblivion, and was so busy gathering information on that coaster I totally missed the word Air written anywhere on any site. As soon as we got there, (well, not as soon as, we first rode Black Hole, another genius piece of mastery), we headed over to the Oblivion area. There was a melancholy silence; a distinct lack of chain belts rotating and people screaming as they plunged into the hole. It was closed for the day. I was thrown, but I took out my park map and decided "Where to next?"
Funny how your mind works when you think that. Immediately, out of the page jumped "Air"
Oh my god. How could I have forgotten about Air? The flying coaster?
Well, the rest is irrelevant until we actually got on, and I tell you, nothing can explain the experience of riding that coaster. They're not joking, it really feels like you're flying. It's amazing. The versatility of the format - I haven't ridden a 4D coaster, living in Australia and all, but I don't think it could possibly match that experience. After it was all over, and we got off, my sister (who had been a little reluctant to got to Alton) hugged me and thanked me for dragging her there. We bought the on ride photo (£14! gah) and I'm serious, it looked like we were both on ecstasy. The moment of pure joy on encapture on both our faces, everyone on that train united by the feeling of flight.
I don't know who those other people were, and they don't know me either, but I know that we all shared that experience, and that we all were thinking and feeling the same thing at the same time.
Wow.
10/10 = Perfect Coaster
11/10 = Life Changing Experience
Air = 11/10

PS: I've just looked at the photos of S:UF, and it does not look anywhere near as good. You have to remember that air is built close to the ground, and what's more fun, flying through the canyons in a light plane, or commuting in a 737?

After all this "SUF is better then Air" stuff I went on Air all "this is going to suck" good thing it didnt. I found Air to be a nice ride and even liked it better then all 3 SUFs. Hell the ride even had airtime!

I've ridden air ACTUALLY and it is FLIPPIN BRILLIANT. Honestly you feel if your flying, and you almost touch the ground. I LOVE IT.
