Rode on the first day of Technical Rehearsals. The theming is unbelievable. Lots of interesting materials in the queue. Ride includes a 180 degree rotation on a turn table and Hulk-Style launch. The ride has some excellent airtime. If you're into the show elements, the best seat is in the front. But for the coaster part, I recommend the back row. It's a little short, but great nonetheless.

An all around great ride with a show or ride element for everyone. Water, darkness, animated figures, launches, both forward and backward, fire, and a terrific story. This ride helps to raise the bar for the theme park industry.

Went on it 17 times in 5 days. Stayed at Hard Rock so I got unliminted Express. Themeing is perfect. Is better than spiderman.(a gold sclupture of King Kong in the treasure room.)

NOTE: This ride review was extracted from a USF trip report written by ME.

The ride is awesome. There are a couple noises, but nothing bad. So, you go into a winding queue line, and board the cars of 16. Pull the lap bar down, and get ready for a wild ride! You go into the ride, and see someone warn you about a curse. The mummy, Imhotep, says that he'll rule for all eternity with your souls. You're taken into a room with fire and green water effects, before going into a third room and crashing into a wall. You go backwards up a hill, turn around, and launch up a hill at 45 miles per hour! You get an EXTREME pop of airtime coming off that hill. After curving around for a bit with another drop, you brake hard, here a lady say something about hands inside the car, and then take another launch. This one is straight. You swoop into a drop, and a picture is taken. Right after the photo, you dive into this thing of orange mist, soaking your face if you're in the front. After a couple curves, you hit the end. Photos are $20!

Well, Mummy is easily the best indoor coaster that I have been on. You gotta do this! I am ligyrophobic, but I was able to take the loud noises pretty well. It has everything that I look for: surprises, speed, curves, theming, an on-ride photo, etc.

Also: I did this 7 times in one day. The first time, I was in the first car of the day, thanks to a before-the-park-opens-USF-tour. The last 6 times, it literally took longer to walk through the queue line than to wait.

You think they would spend there money on a decent ride. I will admit that the theming was very good, but the ride itself was not very fun at all. Don't waste your time here, spent it all at IOA. By far has the superior rides and the park itself blows this one away.

I loved the ride but got tired of hearing the story lines after a few times. Could be longer but the intensity makes up for it. Next time I will wear some ear plugs and ride it as many times as possible.

Don't listen to canobiefan on this one, this ride is easily NUMBER 1 on my coaster Top 10!! The theming is phenominal, the intensity is insane for being such a small coaster and it has literally anything you could want from a coaster short of inversions. Launches, fire, loud noises, animatronics, a switch track turntable, it goes forwards, it goes backwards, there's fog, special effects, it's indescribable!!!! If you have not ridden this, you are missing out on the greatest thing to happen to the roller coaster industry since the invention of steel track! If there is one ride i would recommend that anyone try in their lifetime, it's this one!! nough said!

Aww man.. this has to be the 2nd best indoor roller coaster ever. it caught me off gaurd so much when we started going backwards. i didnt even know it was a rollercoaster until we started going up the hill and i saw the electromagnetic motors on the side and then we shot off!!! We rode it 7 times in a row.

I just visited Universal Studios and IOA about a week ago and I LOVED this indoor coaster! It doesnt go upside down or anything but it goes backwards and it is fast. Plus it has cool visual stuff:)

This was actually a really good ride. I enjoyed the backwards movement of it and the "launch" up the hill to get things started. I was actually surprised by that. I loved the single rider line too, because I was able to repeatedly ride this over and over in a given day. Not the best coaster out there, but I surely do recommend you ride it whenever you are at Universal.
