Problems continued in 2004. Such issues in this year included problems with the launch cable. One incident with the cable injured several riders, where they were hurt by shards of metal.

The problems continued in 2005 when the ride was shutdown for most of September and October due to 2 seperate mechanical problems involving shipment of parts from Germany. The ride was delcared closed for the rest of the season on October 9th, after running only 3 days.

Even though this ride is pretty short, it's worth the wait. I've only ridden it 2 times, and that's not nearly enough to describe it.

Dragster is simply amazing. Other coasters just barely thrill you anymore? This thing will blow you away. Much more intense than Millennium Force.

Unbelievable ride! For the best experience, wait for the front seat!

I didnt actully get to ride this because when I was there it was broken. It was shut down for four days and the day I left it was still shut down. This ride is known for breaking a lot and I've known other people who went and it was broken then too. So I wouldnt count on it working if you go, but I do know people who have ridden it and said its great but others say its not worth the wait because its so short of a ride.

You don't have to ride TTD to know what the launch to 120 mph feels like.....

Just have a friend stand on your chest for 4 seconds...

That will give you a pretty good idea of the launch...

Best coaster I have ever been on...

I don't think that there is anything better than this ride. There's nothing better than the feeling of being launched to 120 miles per hour before climbing 420 feet in the air. It was definitely worth the three hour wait, even the second time, and I would have no problem waiting even longer.

My favorite coaster because the launch is the best experience you can have on a ride.

This coaster was the ultimate thrill for me, and it's my number 2 favorite coaster, just behind Milennium Force.

The best time to ride is night time, when you can look up and see the stars and blackness.

I've been on Top Thrill 4+ times already and that was only last year. I can't believe people are saying that they waited 3 hours. The longest I've waited in line for this ride was 45 minutes which was for the front. I suggest going in the fall when the line is only fifteen minutes long or get a Joe Cool Pass where you can get into the park a half an hour early.

On my last trip to CP, I got kind of bored with the ride. It's still my #1 coaster, but i'm just not all that excited about it anymore.

Maybe it's because i've been on it 46 times.

This ride is so awesome. I love the launch. Once you get to the top and looking down at Millennium Force, you realize how high up you really are. I don't care if you have to wait 3 hours plus the down time, DRAGSTER IS WORTH IT!

This is the best ride ever. (At least til KingdaKa opens!)

It makes all the other launched rides feel so slow now. We were so lucky we didn't have to wait. We just happened to be very close when it looked like it was getting ready to open. Both times--only 45 minutes, and that's including the time before it was ok'd to open.

This ride was closed when I went to CP because of the lauch cable breaking. I am still upset that I didn't get the chance to ride it. Looked so cool and seemed unbelievable that the train actually makes it up to 420' ahhhhhhhh.

I think that the primitve layout of Top Thrill Dragster provides for a fun first ride but the thrill quickly diminishes from there on. Now that I have half a dozen rides under my belt, it isnt all that fun. Not worth more than a 30 minute wait after your first ride IMO. 3/5
