The greatest invert on the planet! The launch out of the volcano is breath taking, especially in the front.

Great effects whil coming out of the volcano. Better off going at night. The inversions and lanch is of course the best part.

The second launch is always fun, the in-line twists feel like they are spread out and the semi-corkscrew out of the top of the Volcano is simply the best inversion there is.

Like strapping a rocket to your back.

the volcano is the greatest thing a human can do to their body. all of human technology and civilization has led up to this, the ultimate achievement in the history of mankind.

no really.. its unique in the world, there are none like it, and its my favorite coaster of all time.

I like sitting in the front seat. you go so far into the first set of lims before they 'fire'.. when you sit in the back seat as soon as you finish the turn from the station you go..

I really enjoy Volcano. You should definitely ride it at night so the sun doesn't hurt your eyes. They should have more inversions and make it longer.

III_Demon, it's not the only one of it's kind. There are inverted impulse coasters like Wicked Twister which also use Linear Induction Motors as a method of propulsion. Volcano is the FIRST or its kind.

Awesome ride. The launches are amazing. The first launch is great and unexpected eveytime. You don't stop moving before you launch. The inversions are great. I got a lot of hangtime in all of the inversions. The last drop is also great. It is very fast. I love this ride.

I love it because it is inverted and it was cool going in and out of the volcano. The only thing I didnt like was at times I felt like I was gonna fall out of the seat.

This ride isnt that bad, I love the launch. Then shooting out of the volcano is pretty awesome. What I find to be a shame though is that this is the best coaster at PKD. Most amusement parks have a coaster that is their true anchor coaster which makes a person want to come back again and again. Dont get me wrong, Volcano is an awesome coaster, but it is not an anchor coaster at all. And Supersonic on the other side of the park is broken too often to be a good anchor coaster too. I hope in the coming future PKD has something record breaking coming to their park soon enough and with Cedar Fair acquiring them, Im sure its in the near future too.

This ride had a 2 hour wait but was worth it. I got a front seat ride. The inline rolls were cool and I think this ride's launches were better than XLC's. It had a little bit of head banging but not really bad. My only complaint was the legnth, it felt short.

Fun ride!!! Wish it was a little longer. Does anyone else think it should have an on-ride photo section?

I loved this ride. Favorite coaster in the park. It has such a fresh feel to it, after riding countless B&M inverts.

Decent coaster, probably the best overall at Kings Dominion, closely followed by Flight of Fear. It's overall pretty smooth. Not to mention, it has some awesome zero-g rolls that give a prolonged feeling of zero-g, unlike most coasters. The only thing that kept this from being a perfect ride was it was too short. Ideally, there should have been something else within the mountain after the swooping turn rather than a brake run.

Sadly dissapointing. The launches were fun but the ride was so short and did nothing besides about 4 rolls. I expected more but was not given it.

Volcano- the Blast Coaster is a blast to ride and just flat out amazing! APPERANCE: Volcano has spectacular theming with the volcano the ride launches out of and surrounds and the cool fire effects the ride occasionally does. The queue line also is well themed. WAIT: 1 1/2 hours on a weekend and 20 minutes on a weekday Capacity is fairly low on Volcano so beware. TRAINS: Volcano uses Intamin inverted trains and they were just as good as the B&M trains. The only difference is that they only seat 2 across. EXPERIENCE: The launch is insanely powerful and incredible as it glues you to your seat and the sense of speed is just plain marvelous. The first inversion through the volcano is very disorienting and thrilling. After that the ride has some fun inline twists and while not as great as the first half, Volcano still provides a great ride. The final plunge into the Volcano also is very good. My only real complaint is how short this ride is, but what else do you expect from a launched coaster. Also, the ride is very smooth. RIDES: 3 (2 in front row, 1 in back) OVERALL: 9 out of 10 The insane launch and first inversion make this ride incredible and the amazing theming helps.
