When V2: Vertical Velocity opened in 2001 it stood 180' tall with a vertical first tower much like its sister ride in Chicago. However local height restrictions forced the park to modify the first tower from its original height and a 90 degree slope to 150' with a 45 degree slope.
This was my first impulse, and my only one to date. I thought it offered an amazing, and unique experience. You could already see old yellow paint visible in a few places [and it was just repainted early this season] but hey, regardless, it's still an amazing ride.
