Douglas Fir-40,000 board feet of lumber delivered by rail and truck. 10,000 gallons of paint to dip wood and paint entire structure. All wood treated by Chemonite process. 750 cubic yards of concrete. 14,000 linear feet of rail. 25 tons of steel.

Figure-eight coaster patterned after 1927 Coney Island Cyclone.

History:
The Texas Cyclone wooden rollercoaster opened June 12, 1976.

The Texas Cyclone was demolished March 9, 2006.

When I rode it I found the ride rough and not anywhere near as exciting as the origional in New York

This coaster was great and it's a shame they had to remove it. I remember my first time on it, which was a night ride. Easily my most missed AW ride.
