Big Dipper is everything a classic wooden coaster should be. While it is not tall, it is unrelenting. Comfortable NAD trains with single position lapbars allow for maximum airtime. Ride this coaster in the very front seat, and you won't be disappointed.

This coaster had major ejector air. Why can't they build coasters like they used to?

When I rode this it was TERRIBLE! The thing was so poorly maintained. It moved so slowly and it barely made it over the bunny hills. It was really bad.

^ Me and slnewbus are on a roll here with agreement. I thought it was terrible too. It's a shame because apparently it's an ACE Classic and I hate to have such thoughts about a ride carrying such prestige. I didn't even know it existed until I went to (when it was) Six Flags Worlds of Adventure in 2002, so I didn't even have any expectations.

It was the last of the park's three wood coasters that I rode that day and it allowed me to come to the solid conclusion that Worlds of Adventure has three wooden coasters that deliver as much satisfaction as a vegetarian pizza does for a meat lover. NONE!

A coaster that was sort of like Gemini. Gemini is way smoother though. Big Dipper is more rickety than a coaster from 1900.

I work at this park and i think this ride is pretty good shape consider it was re-tracked at one point, but i love rough wooden coasters, to me it adds to the thrill.

Incredibly bumpy, no airtime at all. Useless ride.
