History:
The park, which opened in 1936, closed in April 2003. According to its owners, it was a victim of the Post-9/11 tourism slumps. On 1/27/04, Florida Gov. Jeb Bush agreed to put the final piece of the puzzle together in bringing the park back. The park will now be owned and operated by Kent Buescher, owner of Wild Adventures. The park re-opened in the summer of 2004.

The park is getting better every day. I live a couple blocks away and pop in often to check out progress. I am happy to hear the Starliner will be coming here. The current coasters are mainly for younger kids. Also anxiously waiting for the water park to open.

This is a great family park -- not too hard on the wallet, and full of family-friendly attractions. The coasters are a little timid, but the flat rides are great, especially Disk'O.

Can't wait till the Starliner goes up in 2007. Alot of folks who lived in Panama, FL and rode this should come down to Winter Haven to ride it again. They already have a great assortment of Thrill Rides, but I think it will take more than Starliner to get this park into gear. Overall, great park, good service, good flat rides, but needs better coasters.

I hate that the new owners are clearing all the rides. Land South gets on my ******* nerves!
