Best Ride: Bumper Cars
York's Wild Kingdom really doesn't have all that great of an amusement section. The zoo part is decent, but the park is just abysmal.
Coasters- They used to have that Flizter coaster, but I never went to the park while they had it. Now batting cages rest where the coaster once stood.
Flat Rides- Weak. There are a few decent ones, but they don't have many and the ones they do have aren't in the best condition. Their Scrambler is fast and well run, and the Spiral Twirl (round-up) has a very long cycle. The bumper cars are actually pretty good and the park has the best ferris wheel I've ever been on. Still, that's not saying much.
Water Rides- The paddle boats in the zoo section are surprisingly good and the best ones I've been on. It actually has a nice little course to follow and it's very well shaded.
Fun Houses- York's has a decent fun house collection. The Jungle Fun House is the best one by far thanks to the unique walk through sections combined with great fun house elements. The Persian Kamel one is okay, but many elements don't work, but the moving stairs and barrel are excellent. The Haunted House walkthrough is a joke.
Food- It's just average. I've had a burger (good), chicken nuggets (average), and fries (poor). Nothing really stand-out.
Atmosphere- The park is surprisingly dirty and just doesn't seem to be maintained well. The park really isn't a destination for thrill seekers.
Zoo- The zoo is definitely the highlight thanks to the wide variety of animals like the white tigers, monkeys, and such. It's worth checking out while there since it's fairly cheap.
