This is a great little park. The staff is friendly, it is kept very clean, and it doesn't drain your wallet. I go to this park alot more than I do SFNE due to the atmosphere. They have a small but nice assortment of flats, and they keep their coasters up well. Great park over all.

Overall not a bad park. No it cant compete with the larger Six Flags and Cedar Fair parks, but its one of those nice quaint parks that is good to go to when you just want to get away and have some fun. The lines are short, which is a plus. What I like about this park... you cant see it until youre actually by the entrance. The trees and mountain hide it. Go to it whenever you're in the area. Not to mention, Boulder Dash makes it even more worth the trip.

Best Ride: Boulder Dash

Lake Compounce is a great old park that still has its tradition, but it also has some great new rides that really make this park worth visiting.

Coasters- Boulder Dash (9 out of 10) is easily the park's crow jewel since it's truely a world-class coaster. The air time during the course is great and the setting combines with that to make an excellent woodie. Wildcat (3 out of 10) is a dull and rather disappointing woodie devoid of any air at all. The other two coasters, a boomerang and kiddie coaster don't really stand-out at all.

Flat Rides- Lake Compounce has a very good selection of flats. Last time I was there I skipped both Down Time and Thunder n' Lightning due to two phobias I had (hated drop towers & pendulum rides), but I've since conquered my fear and would ride them in a heartbeat in my next visit. Enterprise and the Rotor are also fun and quite good, but their flying scooters are abysmal.

Water Rides- Decent. I love Thunder River Rapids and always have a great time on it since I usually come off drenched. Their flume has a nice setting, but I've just never really been a big fan of it.

Dark Rides- Ghost Hunt is a fun shooting dark ride, but it always has a very long line unlike the park's other rides. It's fun if the line's short.

Food- Soda is free with admission (I hate soda, but it's worth mentioning) and the food is just average in my opinion.

Atmosphere- Lake Compounce definitely has the feel of a 150+ year old park, but it also is a great park since it's also entered the 21st century with some great rides. Very clean park and friendly employees! :)

Also of note, don't miss their Sky Ride since it's definitely one of the park's best rides and it gives incredible views of the mountain.

The water park is fun, but it can get way too crowded. If it's not too crowded, Lights Out and Mammoth Falls are worth trying.

Small park.

Also my new favourite park!

And, home to the best coaster on earth (and yeah, I've ridden El Toro, MF, S:ROS and all them)!

I love Lake Compounce it is amazing place. It is a great small park and very friendly. The best ride is Boulder Dash and everyone loves it. All the other rides are really fun. The food is amazing there and there is a lot to chose from. If you go you have to go to the water park cause there are lots of slides and my favorite the lazy river. Even six flags is better if you want a day of fun and shorter lines go to lake Compounce=]
