| More About This Park |
History:
In 1977, Byron Betts opened Enchanted Village on just 12 acres with only a half dozen rides. Wild Waves Waterpark was added in 1984. In 1992, Federal Way residents Jeff and Leanne Stock purchased Enchanted Parks from Betts and began transforming the park into a popular summer destination for families. In eight years, the Stocks added more than 20 amusement rides and water park attractions.
Wild Waves and Enchanted Village was purchased in December of 2000 by Six Flags Theme Parks, the world’s largest regional theme park company. In 2002, Six Flags added 10 new rides, including the popular splash coaster, Lumberjack Falls and in 2003 Six Flags added the TimberHawk – Washington State’s biggest roller coaster and the first wooden roller coaster to be built in Washington State in 68 years.
One of seven properties owned by Six Flags Inc. that was sold to PARC Management LLC as a means to reduce a massive debt load. The acquisition was completed in March 2006 for a price of $312,000,000 USD.

This park is great because you can get into the waterpark and the theme park for just $30.00. I also think that this park is going to become a major part for Six Flags' operations in the Northwest Region. But they need to start building bigger rides and a brand new parking lot needs to be built also.

This park is below average. Its not as bad as the little tiny parks in like Oregon or anything, but its nowhere close to a Marine World, or Knotts Berry Farm. If you are a thrill seeker, dont expect much at all. Everything in the park is made to attract families, not die hard adrenaline junkies.
The parks main coaster, Timberhawk, is a wooden coaster. If you have a 9 or 10 year old child that is kind of scared of "big" roller coasters, this is the perfect icebreaker for them. If you sit in the back, you get some airtime, but then after that any hardcore thrill seeker could fall asleep. http://www.rollercoastersofthepacificnw.com/tfirstturn.jpg
Their second biggest coaster, Wild Thing, is just horrible. Dont go on this no matter what or you might die from trama to the head, you think im joking? Just trust me. As for the ride, its a simple Arrow corkscrew coaster. DONT GO ON IT!

They also have:
Klondike Gold Rusher -- Wild mouse coaster (eh, not a fan of it)
Lumberjack Falls -- Water ride (cool station)
Timberaxe -- Flat ride inverter (This is a cool flat ride)
I5 Skydive -- Skycoaster (Fun, but costs 30 bucks)
The waterpark is decent, They have:
Wavepool -- Can get overcrowded easily
Old Slide Complex -- These ones are boring and nasty
New Slide Complex -- These ones are alright
2 Speedslides -- Are about 55 ft tall or so, kinda thrilling
Tube ride -- FREEZING WATER, but still fun!
Cannon Ball Slides -- They sit about 6 ft from the water and fling you off
Several Hot Tubs
Kids areas
Keep in mind that this park is for families, not thrill seekers. And no, Tornado, this park will not become a future Magic Mountain. Federal Way (the city its in), has a 75ft limit for any coaster because there are houses right next to the park. Six Flags just bought this park because it rakes in a TON of money. Therefor, its busy quite a bit too.
If I could sum up Wild Waves/Encanted Village in a short blurb, I would say: Family park, half days entertainment (after that it kind of gets boring) Cheers!
